Phones and networks for warehouses and distribution sites
In a warehouse the network is part of the operation. Scanners, label printers and dock systems stop when the Wi-Fi does. We design coverage for racking and steel, and keep the floor systems on their own network.
On the floor
Coverage, paging and the dock
- Wi-Fi for scanners. Racking and steel absorb signal. Access points are placed for the aisles and the dock, then checked with a walk-through test.
- Paging and the dock. Overhead paging and dock phones tied into the phone system, so the office can page the floor from any extension.
- Warehouse systems kept apart. Scanners, printers, cameras and building controls on their own segments, away from office laptops.
- Failover. A backup connection so the warehouse management system and carrier label printing keep running.
Between sites
Depots on one standard
Distribution centers, depots and the head office share links and one phone system, so a call can move to whichever site is handling the shipment.
