Business phone service / Mexico City, Mexico

Business phone service for Mexico City offices that work with the US and the rest of Latin America.

Mexico City offices often answer to a head office in the US or Spain and serve customers across Latin America. They need bilingual menus, calling to the US and other countries without fraud risk, and dial plans that match Mexico’s current numbering. Texwan sets up phone systems remotely and ships phones ready to use.

Mexican numbers come from providers licensed in Mexico, where available. We work remotely and do not claim a Mexican office or licence.

01 / Threat Briefing

Threat Briefing

Mexico moved to uniform 10-digit dialing on August 3, 2019, dropping the old 01, 044 and 045 prefixes, according to its telecom regulator. Older PBX dial plans still built around those prefixes can misroute calls. (Mexico regulator)

911 is Mexico’s national emergency number, so every phone on the system must be able to reach it directly. (Government of Mexico)

  • Rebuild the dial plan for 10-digit numbers and direct 911.

  • Offer Spanish and English in the main menu.
  • Confirm local numbers and equipment approval with a licensed Mexican provider before ordering.

04 / Vendor-Neutral Verification Checklist

Vendor-Neutral Verification Checklist

Three checks you can run yourself, with or without us.

  1. Dial a local number from a desk phone using all 10 digits.
  2. Check that 911 dials without a prefix, using your provider’s test procedure.
  3. Compare the countries your team calls with the destinations your system allows.

Legacy and odd setups

Old phone systems in Mexico City? We can work with them.

Mexico City offices often still have Panasonic, NEC or Avaya systems with dial plans written before 2019. We can update or replace them, and keep the old system running alongside during the move.

How it works

Remote setup, phones shipped ready to use

  1. Review. Send us your current bill or a list of numbers, users and sites. We map extensions, call flows and anything unusual.
  2. Build. We build the system for your country’s dial plan and emergency numbers and program each phone (Yealink, Yeastar, Grandstream or Sangoma), choosing models that suit local power, plugs and radio rules.
  3. Ship. Phones ship from the US pre-configured and labeled. Import duties, taxes and customs clearance depend on the destination and the shipping terms, which we agree in the quote.
  4. Port and support. Existing numbers are ported only where the country’s rules and the carriers allow, on a date you approve. Support is remote, with every request answered within one business day.
